Updated November, 2021 – Mandatory Vaccination Policy

Following this week’s release by the State Government of the Testing, Tracing, Isolation and Quarantining (TTiQ) model, the Board of the Stadium Management Authority has determined Adelaide Oval and operations within the stadium such as RoofClimb will become a double COVID-19 vaccination only venue.

This decision is effective from Tuesday 23 November, applying to anyone aged 12 years and over.

People who are double vaccinated will be required to display their COVID-19 Digital Certificate via their smart phone prior to entry. Where this is not possible, a printed immunisation statement along with proof of identification will be accepted.

Those with official medical exemption  will need to show their certificate of exemption and provide a recent negative PCR test result no older than 72 hours prior to the admission.

This requirement will be enforced, with individuals who are not able to provide proof of double COVID-19 vaccination, or a valid exemption, denied entry. Anyone found to have entered the stadium without necessary proof of status will face removal from the stadium and three-year ban.

Our COVID Safe Operations

RoofClimb adheres to the current Social Distancing guidelines.

Climbers are provided personal over-ear audio systems to ensure they can hear their Climb Leader at all times while maintaining appropriate distancing on roof.

The path to RoofClimb is via walkways and stairs – no elevators! Another great way to get your steps up after isolation!

We will also ask Climbers to arrive no later and no sooner than 15 minutes prior to your climb and please wait outside the stadium near the South Ticketing Office.

Your RoofClimb Leader will meet you on Telstra Plaza to check you in and escort you inside for your Climb – unfortunately only Climbers are permitted in the gates – no support crew at this stage – so we can ensure we maintain appropriate distancing measures.

Hand sanitising stations are available at Entry and Exit points as well as personal stations set up for each Climber in the RoofClimb Lounge.

Hand washing facilities are also available.

All RoofClimb suits are professionally dry cleaned after each use as per our standard operating procedures.

All equipment including audio systems and over-earpieces, sunglass tethers, cap tethers and lanyards are disinfected after every use.

We have increased the cleaning and disinfecting of all surface areas and frequented spaces including on structure!

Face masks are compulsory for all Climbers and must be worn on arrival, during the RoofClimb preparation and de-kitting processes, however they can be briefly removed for individual photos on rooftop.

From 23 November 2021, all staff, contractors and visitors to Adelaide and RoofClimb are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Climbers are asked to please stay home if you are not feeling well or have any cold or flu symptoms. We are more than happy to reschedule your climb – even on the day – just call and let us know.

Climbers who have been in close contact with a known COVID case or someone who is required to isolate or quarantine are asked not to attend RoofClimb and must reschedule their upcoming climb.

Climbers will have their temperature checked upon arrival and must record below 38 degrees Celsius. Climbers will also be breathalysed and  must be below 0.05% BAC to participate.

Our RoofClimb Crew are temperature checked at the start of their shift and are not permitted to work if they are feeling unwell or have been in contact with any known or suspected COVID cases.
