Whether you are newly appointed after last year’s fiasco or you’ve had the responsibility for years, being in charge of planning a successful Christmas celebration for you and your workmates can be a headache.
The good news? If you’re responsible for organising the most memorable event of the year, there is a whole world of fun events you can book in Adelaide. We will start with the newest, most exciting corporate package going around: Ours, of course!
RoofClimb’s Corporate Team Events
With plenty of options available just in time for Christmas, the RoofCimb corporate events are unique, ideal for team bonding, and can be tailored to your needs. All events include a team RoofClimb and can incorporate a variety of extra entertainment options, including dining at the Hill of Grace restaurant at Adelaide Oval, a buffet lunch or cocktails! For more information and how to book, head to the booking page.
Founded by Adelaide’s own ‘celebrity chef’ Callum Hann and dietitian Themis Chryssidis, Sprout is a cooking school focused on vibrant ingredients and delicious meals. Their corporate team events can be totally adapted to your workmates’ needs and can cater, no pun intended, for larger groups as well.
If you’re interested in getting too many chefs in the kitchen, get in touch with the Sprout team before they are booked out.
Escape Hunt Adelaide
The term ‘team building’ gets thrown around a lot when it comes to team events. But trust us when we say, taking your team to Escape Hunt will test your patience and your ability to remain office-polite, as you desperately try to escape the Zoo room in an hour.
The Escape Hunt experience has a program designed especially for Christmas corporate but is very popular, enquire now to avoid disappointment!
Bounce Adelaide has an excellent corporate program that will have your boss jumping for joy. The program is flexible and includes the hire of a function room and catering for groups as small as 10 and as large as 300. You and your group can participate in some controlled competition in the dodgeball arena or show off your skills on the freestyle trampolines. If you would like more information about the Bounce corporate packages, you’ll find plenty on their website.
A Day Out In The Barossa
If it’s been a long year working in an office, or maybe you just love wine – the Barossa is a mecca of different activities, restaurants and of course, wineries. Book a bus for your team and take a day trip. If you need some inspiration for different things to do once you arrive, here is a good place to start.
Customised Tours at Adelaide Zoo
If your workplace sometimes feels like an enclosure at the Zoo, embrace the similarities by visiting Adelaide Zoo and getting up close and personal with some amazing creatures. Their group tour structure is fantastic and can be tailored to your groups needs.Plus, because you’re already in the CBD, you have an excuse to stay for a team dinner in the area.
Our Suggestion: The Hill of Grace Restaurant at Adelaide Oval offers a unique fine dining experience overlooking the hallowed turf, with a menu inspired by South Australia’s magnificent produce and ingredients.
Adelaide Bowling Club
Another gem in reach of your favourite CBD bar or restaurant, Adelaide Bowling Club is a historical icon with a well stocked bar and lush bowling green. The game of bowls is fun and becomes even more fun when incentives and teams are thrown in. After you’re done, take advantage of the ABC’s bar to celebrate your win or commiserate your losses. There are plenty of events operating through summer, such as Sunday Superbowlz or Night Owls, and the club is also well equipped to host your function.
Christmas is a joyful time, so don’t let organising your work function become a source of pain. Adelaide’s an abundant source of things to do and explore, and your workmates will appreciate the variety. If you think we have missed anything important on this list, let us know on our Facebook page!
